MANILA, Philippines - Fake shampoo being sold by Unilevel employee which is said to be a promo.

An article posted in Viral4Real, contents of a shampoo bottle are replaced with glue-like substance in which we call "gawgaw". Iodized salt, starch, sodium laureth sulfate and shampoo scent are mixed and poured in recycled bottles.

On the video, the real shampoo is filled only on the top while the inner content is filled with fake substance.

The seller was said to be an employee from Unilever since she had an ID of the company but it was not verified yet if the ID is real or fake too. The shampoo she sold was said to be a promo offered at a very low price. And since many are blinded with the word "promo", a lot of people had been tricked.

The same incident happened as PASG raided a factory in Payatas that produce and sells fake shampoo. Suspects are liable for violation of Sec. 168 of R.A. 8293 or the Intellectual Property Rights and Consumer Acts.

A friendly reminder to consumers not to be blinded by promotions and low rate prices. It would be better to buy from trusted retail stores.
