MANILA, Philippines - Traffic along Coastal Road is not new to anyone traveling from the South or traveling to the South. To help ease traffic congestion along the highway, The Department of Public Works and Highways now opens the NAIA Expressway to the public FREE of charge.

The first phase of the NAIA Expressway will link Macapagal Boulevard to NAIA Terminals 1 and 2. With that, coming and/or going to the NAIA Terminals would be easier and faster. Currently, travel time from the South Luzon Expressway (SLEX) to NAIA Terminal 1 is approximately 30 minutes but with the integration of the NAIA Expressway travel time was said be to reduced to 8 minutes.
If their estimations are correct, this is a huge improvement for those who will be coming and/or going to NAIA.
For a duration of 1 month, the said expressway will be free of charge. After which, vehicles traversing the expressway will have to pay a certain amount for the toll fee.
