With the country facing raps about extra judicial killings or EJK and having the police officers tagged as the cause of this, how can they clean up their name?

In the UK and US, study shows that police complaints dropped 93% after deploying body cameras to their officers. Having wearable cameras, both parties became sensitive of their behavior when undergoing standard police procedural compliance. The experiment took place at seven sites in the year 2014 to 2015 having 1,429,868 office hours.

Should we implement the use of wearable cameras to police officers across our country, do you think that police complains will drop too? Will it improve the credibility and reliability of our police officers? Will it serve as a strong evidence in court trials should the complainant file a suit?

There are two things that we really wish that the government would prioritize.

  1. Mandatory dashboard cameras for all types of vehicles
  2. Mandatory wearable cameras for all police officers including traffic enforcers (MMDA)

Instead of spending, on these cheap CCTVs where no cctv operators are watching over, why not invest on these? If every incident is recorded in a person's point of view, then it would be much easier to see the story of both parties.
