Manila, Philippines - The Osaka Asian Film Festival will be held from March 3-12, 2017 in Osaka, Japan will be showcasing nine Filipino films, three of which are part of the main competition and will compete with thirteen other Asian films for the Grand Prix and Most Promising Talent awards. The fils are:
1. Bliss directed by Jerrold Tarog
2. Kita Kita directed by Sigrid Andrea Bernardo
3. Tisay directed by Borgy Torre
Other feature fils are:
4. Apocalypse Child directed by Mario Cornejo will be featured in the In & Out of Work: Looking at Asia through the Prism of Employment Special Program.
5. Baka Bukas directed by Samantha Lee will be featured in the special program featuring new movements in film
6. Birdshot directed by Mikhail Red will be featured in the special program featuring new movements in film
7. Patintero: The Legend of Meng the Loser directed by Mihk Vergara will be featured in the special program featuring new movements in film
8. Singing in Graveyards directed by Bradley Liew will be featured in the special program featuring new movements in film
9. Saving Sally directed by Avid Liongoren will be featured in the special program featuring new movements in film
FDCP will be coordinating with the Philippine Consulate in Osaka, Japan to give assistance to the Festival participants.
