A couple from Liaoning, China had to glue 140,000 yuan or $21,300 worth of banknotes after the man's father shredded them into pieces.
A man who was only identified as Chen told a local television network that his father sold his house with an amount of $30,000 last October and shredded cash due to paranoia that he and his daughter-in-law are only after his money.
For safekeeping, Chen only wanted his father to put his money on the bank but his father refused to leaving him no choice but to shred hundreds of banknotes.
And with that, the couple took 3 months of work with 17 hours a day just to glue those banknotes together.
Good thing that the couple was able to exchanged the banknotes with a new one and put them in the bank.
With that amount, who would not put efforts in putting them all together when the price after the hard work is worth a million pesos?
