GraphikaManila, the biggest and wildest design conference, will be celebrating its 10th year on January 31 & February 1, 2015 at the SM Mall Of Asia SMX Convention Center gathering more than a thousand creatives! And since it will be their 10th year pumping the creative juices of amateur and professional artists, they will be organizing a FULL 2-day day conference! Yup, you read it right. two(2) FULL days of inspiration to keep you going!

We assure you that you won't be disappointed. 9 International speakers and 3 Local Speakers. Here's the list of speakers that will inspire you to do more.

(California, USA)

Walt Disney Animation Studios, headquartered at the Walt Disney Studios in Burbank, California is an American animation studio producing animated feature films, short films and television specials for The Walt Disney Company. Founded on October 16, 1923, it is a unit of The Walt Disney Studios. The studio has produced 54 feature films, from Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs in 1937 to Big Hero 6 in 2014. Walt Disney Animation will be represented by Benson Shum (Animator).


(Brooklyn, New York)

Anton Repponen and Irene Pereyra previously worked for Fantasy Interactive (Fi) as Global UX Director and Global Creative Director, respectively. During their stint in Fi, they spearheaded the redesign of sites such as USA Today, Wacom, among many others. Recently, they have opened their own studio aptly named 'Anton & Irene'. The duo has done talks around the world about their experience in design, UX and working with big clients in Fi.


(East Sussex, England)

Sebastian ‘Seb’ Lester was trained in Graphic Design at Central Saint Martins. He now works in Lewes in East Sussex as a designer and artist. His home studio is built into the banks of one of the oldest castles in England. He has developed typefaces and type illustrations for some of the world’s biggest companies, publications and events, including the likes of NASA, Apple, Nike, Intel, The New York Times, The 2010 Vancouver Winter Olympics and JD Salinger’s final reissue of The Catcher in the Rye. Previously a Senior Type Designer at Monotype for nine years, he has developed custom typefaces for many very familiar brands including British Airways, Intel, Waitrose, The Daily Telegraph, H&M and Barclays. A new-found love of calligraphy has pushed his work in exciting new directions. Within four years, he has become one of the highest profile calligraphers in the world with just under 300,000 accounts following his daily calligraphic updates on social media sites like Instagram.


(Barcelona, Spain)

Vasava started in Barcelona in 1997. Today, they are a communication studio with 18 young designers specializing in cross-media projects: print, web, motion, 3D animation and video. Vasava works for companies, large and small, including well-known brands like Nike, Rocawear, Adobe, Diesel, 55DSL, Mango, Budweiser and Red Bull. The studio's designers spend time on commercial work but also on awe-inspiring personal design, illustration and typography design that is displayed in exhibitions and books around the world.


(New York, USA)

Joshua Davis is a designer, technologist and author. He is best known as the creator of, winner of the Prix Ars Electronica 2001 Golden Nica for 'Net Vision/Net Excellence'. An early adopter of open-source, offering the source code of the composition and animation developments to the public. He had a role in designing the visualization of IBM’s Watson, the intelligent computer program capable of answering questions, for the quiz show Jeopardy. His work has been inducted into the Smithsonian's Cooper Hewitt Design Museum, National Design Triennial 2006 'Design Life Now', and has spoken at the TED and 99U conferences about his career in algorithmic image making and open source. Joshua was the first-ever international speaker of Graphika Manila in 2006.


(California, USA)

Leeroy is a contemporary Filipino fine artist whose works overlap with theatre, film, fashion and visual arts. He is a Visual Arts graduate of Philippine High School for the Arts and a graduate of the University of the Philippines College of Fine Arts. Currently, he is known as one of the designers alongside Kermit Tesoro for the muscle dress, a dress worn by Lady Gaga in her music video, Marry The Night.


(Bangkok, Thailand)

Born and educated in Bangkok, Pomme has started her career as a graphic designer in WPP’s DY&R and Grey. In 2002 she relocated to the UK to study Graphic Design and Communication at the London College of Communication. Over the past five years, her drawings have been featured in the Telegraph, IDN, Grafik, Curvy Book and FT magazines. She has worked on prestigious ad campaigns for the likes of Sony, MTV, Volkswagen, Mercedes-Benz, Adidas, Selfridges, Microsoft, The Guardian, Nike and Topshop. Using her unique hand-drawn skill, Pomme’s eclectic style gets its inspiration from everyday life. Nature, fashion, architecture and female form play a big part in her works.


(Cebu, Philippines)

Nick Automatic draws inspiration from people, culture and the different scenes they indulge in; from the underground to the colloquial, to the streets and the music scene. What started as a grassroots operation of one, is now ran by a 20-man crew known as Team Automatic. At the center of it all is Nicolo Nimor, the brand’s lead designer, who was named as one of the 20 Best Young Designers by BluPrint Magazine. Nimor, aside from starting Nick Automatic, has worked with big names and brands such as Nicki Minaj, David Hasselhoff, Electric Zombie, Artwork, Team Manila, Samsung, Tattoo and Ford. The brand has catapulted itself into the spotlight by enlisting artists such as New Found Glory, A Day To Remember, Mayday Parade, Chicosci, Jejaview, Urbandub and many others.



Based in Singapore, Machineast is a collaborative project between design directors Fizah Rahim and Rezaliando focusing on rich visual aesthetics implemented in graphic design and motion. Machinest is responsible for the Graphika Manila 2015 branding and intro.


(Manila, Philippines)

AJ specializes in shirt and apparel graphics, having won several design contests over at and His clients include Nike, Adidas and Zoo York. AJ’s designs have been sold in Urban Outfitters, Hot Topic and and picked up by bands like Panic at the Disco, artists like Alicia Keys and the late Michael Jackson. AJ and wife, Audrey, also run their own funky baby and kids clothing line called googoo&gaga.



Asylum takes a multi-disciplinary creative approach by integrating branding and spatial design. Since their inception in 1999, they have won a wide array of awards and also been featured in numerous publications across the globe. Other than their serious work ethics, they are also known for having a quirky sense of humor. Asylum is probably best defined as an unconventional maverick in the creative sphere. The Asylum is represented by Chris Lee. Lee has presented in Graphika Manila 2007.

For directors, Mark Querubin and Sid Maderazo, 88storey Films is a source of inspiration as well as a wellspring of ideas and a home that houses original thinking. After nine years since its conception, 88 Storey Films remain young and vibrant as ever. With a couple of awards under its belt and the addition of a number of hot directors to its roster, it remains the country’s premier production house and continues to weave wonderful stories that not only hit the spot but more importantly deliver results.
