UPDATE: Erin posted a status stating that he is not the guy on the viral photo. It is just a mistaken identity and he has no intention of making the photo go viral on social media. According to him, he just wanted to voice out his opinion too that just because you are a girl, you still have no right to secretly take a photo of someone and upload it on the internet and state that he is not a gentleman just because he doesn't want to give up his seat. Added to that, no one could tell someone that they are unattractive.
Everyday, everybody is sick and tired of falling in long queues just to arrive to their destination. Added to that, the stress and the uncomfortability of our modes of transportation, particularly the MRT/LRT.
Despite having a dedicated cabin for male, female, elderly and persons with disability, the trains are still jam-packed full of commuters who choose the MRT/LRT as their primary mode of transportation due to its low cost.
With the given situation, not everybody is willing to give up their seat to women, elderly or even the disabled. Some pretend to fall asleep, try be busy on their mobile phones or just simply ignore them. With that, a Facebook user named Paola posted a picture of a guy not being a gentleman by not given up his seat to a woman. (She may be pertaining to herself or to other woman near him).
Since we all have the right to express our own opinion, do you think she has a point? Just because she is a woman, are all guys obliged to give up their seats? What if the guy is tired too and wants to take a sit? Aren't we all created "equal"?
