End this year with live music, good drinks, and tons of dancing at Manila Groovy Nights Year Ender. This is the 10th volume of the movement’s pocket series happening on December 14, 2019 at The 70s Bistro.

What makes Manila Groovy Nights so special to the local music industry is that it aims to provide a platform to Filipino artists that defy constructs by subverting different genres to make them their own. Everyone will find something to enjoy when they attend a Manila Groovy Nights show—you’ll see that the artists truly enjoy what they’re doing and believe in the music they’re making, and it will definitely make you want to get up from your seat and dance to each and every song.

Other than organizing concerts, the collective also supports unique and revolutionary artists and bands through different avenues such as jam sessions, curated playlists on Spotify, event coverage videos on YouTube, and many other initiatives. Ultimately, their goal is to carve out their own niche in the country’s musical landscape and add to it people who love and appreciate original, authentic Filipino sound.

The Manila Groovy Nights Year Ender 2019 features artists that might already be familiar to the collective’s loyal followers—such as Marga Jayy, Pawikan, and Extrapolation. Known for “Mananatili,” Marga Jayy adds a local twist to R&B—soulful, and yet will still have you dancing to the rhythm. If you’re into something even more chill, Pawikan will mesmerize you with their local reggae hits—you won’t even realize you’re already tapping your foot to the beat. Meanwhile, Extrapolation’s inclusion of wind instruments like the sax and flute is a subtle nod to the jazz era and beatnik culture.

Also in the lineup are Ajka, Chilitees, Conscious & The Goodness, Dante & Amigo, Julianne Tarroja, and Trifecta. While each have their own unique and individual sound, the performers all have one goal in common: to create and share good music. What makes Manila Groovy Nights so popular is that people truly appreciate their mission of bringing people together to enjoy new, innovative, original, and local sound.

The movement’s ultimate goal is to expand its reach and show the world the amazing music that the country has to offer, and the Manila Groovy Nights Year Ender 2019 will show you that local talent is worth seeing and even dancing to!

The Manila Groovy Nights Year Ender 2019 will take place at The 70s Bistro, Quezon City on December 14, 2019. For more information, visit Manila Groovy Nights’ Facebook, Instagram, or Twitter.
