MANILA, Philippines - Team Rave, our very own Defense of the Ancients (DOTA) representatives, blame their loss to the Immigration officers that apprehended them.

The incident wherein our very own representatives were apprehended by the Immigration officers at the Ninoy International Airport (NAIA) after they fail to show an Overseas Employment Certificate (OEC) from the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) caused them to immediately lose in the competition which was held at Incheon, South Korea
In an official statement released by the Bureau of Immigration, they argued that three members of Team Rave had working visas, causing them to ask for the OEC.
In a post on Twitter, administrator Hans Leo Cacdac said there was no need to the team to secure a certificate. Also, former immigration officer Atty. Mary Ann Ojeda-Isidro agreed that the immigration officers were at fault.
"They are there to compete, so it matches the E-6 visa. It does not automatically make them an OFW," she said.
Meanwhile, the BI said it is coordinating with the POEA to prevent similar situations in the future.
"We are coordinating with the POEA to make the process easier for the public, so as not to cause any inconvenience to the travelers. Right now, we must implement the guidelines."
Now the question is, how would these immigration officers pay the damage they had made to the players? In a gamer perspective, we all know how hard it is to be in a competition and beat tens and thousands of gamers around the globe. Especially that South Korea is known to be the hive of king of gamers.
We do hope that these immigration officers, not just to the gamers that were apprehended but also to the other people whom they caused delays, should pay for the damages they have caused.
As to what they also say, "ignorance of the law does not excuse".
